I have a great old Castle Instruments Phaser III that needs this chip. If you have one for sale, name your price Smile

Thanks,

Dave

Hi You might like to visit this website, Graham Hinton has these chips you require, at a price though.

Hi again,

Sorry mistook ssm2045 on Grahams website, but this link below does have a drop in replacement, it's a SSM2044.

Hi again, I looked at the pinouts for the 2040 and 2044, and I'm afraid they aren't compatable, I have heard of people using discrete components to make up a circuit that will do the same job, I'll keep looking though, I have a couple of good contacts in the synth repair business, and I'll see if they can help. Best regards Derek.

I have a half dozen used ones (some on a Rev2 Prophet 5 voice board that is in my workshop), but I have no idea as to whether any of them are faulty or not, I have been waiting for a Rev 2 to come in for repair so that I can test out all the SSM chips. They are probably all fine, but I can't sell any until they are tested as good.
