this will make figuring out your BCD and decimal "words" so much easier...perfect for the 4089!!

any other cmos chips allow direct input of a word?

i am so excited by this and i think this means i am a total nerd

Binary, not BCD.

In Windoze you already have a tool for that: Calculator in "Scientific" View. Click a number system (Dec, Bin, Hex or Octal), enter the number to convert, then change the number system. It won't explain the answer, though.
