Well there's 14U of rack space in the cabinet, currently I've got a full MOTM rack with 2x MPS, Clangora, UD1, Cynare and a utility mixer/VCA. One space left if I move the Phaser out of the cabinet. I'm thinking of rebuilding the Cynare on a 2U wide panel and fully patched out. Currently it's squeezed onto a 1U. Then I've got the 4U panel with all the 808 voices + an extra 909 kick. The plan for the remaining 5U right now is a fracrack of mixing/routing modules and more voices (SDS3s if the PCBs ever get made, and maybe some CR78 clones) and then 2U left for my 9090... although after finishing the 808 stuff, a full 909 clone might be overkill!
Would love to build an EPROM player module of some kind. My Drumulator died but I'd love to have Midi & Trigger access to those sounds.
Midi-to-Trigger for up to 48 trigger outs is finished and installed! I need some sort of global mixer at some point with the ability to split into sub mixes, VC panning and FX sends.
But first things first, I need to finish that 808 clone... |

My latest guitar amp. Runs off a 12 volt wall wart. Submini tubes with an internal switched mode power supply generating ~200 volts for the tubes' plates. It's louder that it looks, I rarely crank it up to even half volume. Obviously stadium gigs are out of the question.................

Yup, just a NE555, BC547, IRF740, an inductor and a few caps 'n resistors.

Ah! The battery is just to give an idea of the size of the amp. I don't expect it would last very many minutes as a power source. _________________ http://www.frequencycentral.co.uk/ |

wow, that's awesome! Did you release a schematic for that or is it a secret? I've built your other designs and would love to build myself one of those! _________________ When they plug me in the lights go down in Hong Kong.

Awesome little bitty guitar amp. Is that the smallest of it's wattage in existence?

I've been lazy this year, and I think my panels are actually getting uglier.
Finished:
Cabinet #2
Steiner Filter
LPG (Still in need of attenuating knobs, and the rest of it's jacks)
Electric Druid VCLFO (I can't say how much love this thing)
Waiting on panels:
Another LPG
Attenuverter
2x Sequential Switches
KLEE
Real McTube (which s currently laying precariously, possibly dangerously, across my desk)

I did this for a friend, in exchange for getting a stack of my tracks on vinyl. Normally I refuse to build for others, in terms of $$ its either not worth it or you would have to charge too much to compensate for the time invested.
But Mike was keen and had an amazing love for synths, a passion that had to be nurtured. He had a strong idea of what he wanted, so we had some good talks on how to realise his vision. He's pretty pleased with the result. I left it up to him to knob it and build the case for it.
more info
Have always loved early serge synths, probably the 'mysterious collector' very weird panels on Egres inspired my 1st modular. seeing Zthee's beautiful Serge clones and the release of the CGS/Serge VCS sent me down this path:

Wow! I love that that Serge system Andrew!!! Can we get some more pics?
Did you create designs or use existing module design adaptations? So cool.
I like the current Serge graphic style visually, and love all of the current serge inspired cgs diy. I'm planning on doing some after finishing some Buchla stuff I'm working on. But, I'd like my Serge-inspired to be a little less GRID than STS builds them, or a little less dense. I was sort of thinking of leaving more open spaces, more like 80s(?) Serge. Maybe the (even) older style of graphics gives a little more distiction between the function blocks?
I have recently finished panels for 266 SOU, 258 VCO. and 281 Quad; But I do not have a camera at the moment. |

well its mainly just panel at the moment, tho nearly all the PCBs are stuffed 'just' the wiring to go.
i'm with you - i like the early 70s 16x6 panels with 1" spacing. The other advantage (for me) is i can just drill out a bunch of panels in one go...'til my arm has had enough and worry about which holes will be jacks or pots later.
there's some other pix here
edit - i think most of the layouts i did myself, piece o piss with frontpanel designer |

You seem to be perfecting that colouring technique, sduck. How's that dark green working out for visibility? I'm intrigued with the colour coding. _________________ Garret: It's so retro.

| Thanks, ER. Sorry, I don't actually have a color code of any kind - it's pretty much random according to my tastes the day I do the layout. If I ever come up with a color code I'm going to have to redo everything! And yes, the green is terrible - I generally only use it on things I don't really plan on using too often. |
