Up Down Sequencer.

At first glance, I thought the CtrlSeq and SHPA LFO modules were Clavia's answer to the bi-directional sequencer that many people had asked for. The LFO has a direction control input and the CtrlSeq follows a ramp wave right? Just a couple of little problems however, in practice, the ramp wave has a significant reset slope which causes a glitch every cycle. A symmetrical triangle wave works well for a back/forward type sequencer but the peak and valley spend twice the time at the respective voltage levels (doubling the time value of the first and last step).
This patch scales the wave and adds an offset of half a step (the scale factor here works for 14 steps, use other factors for other numbers).
The trigger outputs provide a clock pulse, which is used in this case to...
Sync to a regular (clocked) step sequencer.
Via a sample and hold, synchronise the change of direction LFO to the 'beat'

The syncro stuff is optional, some may prefer a more free running type effect.
The frequency, shape and phase modulation inputs are begging for some connections.
No substitute for a real up down counter.

Thanks for posting this. I'm a BIG fwd/reverse fan. This patch not only shows another slightly easier way to get it with the G2, but also is a nice demonstration of how nice is can work on generating a melody. Nice one.

Sorry about all the technical problems with the duplicate text. This is fixed now, I think... Embarassed
