I would really appreciate if you guys could take a minute and try help me with the following.

I have the following RFZ modules, pulled from a console, that I'd like to put in an enclosure, complete with a power supply:

1x W735/1 (a two channel 7-band EQ)
2x V740/1c (a mono preamp)

the questions:

1. I have some info on both units and so far I have gathered that they both run on single -24V supply. I have read everything I could found and it looks that way - but I'd be really happy if some of you could confirm this - does this mean that I can just connect the ground of a normal 24V power supply to the "-24V" input of the module and the 24V line of said supply to module's ground?

2. Assuming that is true, I'll still be needing to build the PSU. Since all I need is a single 24V DC line, it shouldn't be that complicated. Do you guys know any nice and simple DIY PSU project? Maybe even a kit? Or is it really so simple that I'd be better off breadboarding it? Take a 7824 (or even a 7924?) and copy the example application from the datasheet?

3. As for the current consumption, I only have rating for the preamps - it says <= 45mA. Would I be wrong to assume that a 5VA toroid would be sufficient as the voltage transformer?

I'd be delighted and eternally grateful if any of you could give me some pointers to the above.

Don't know, seems logical, but why don't do a single -24 power supply?
Do you have any link to schematics?

5VA seems correct , check it here: http://electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?highlight=power+supply&t=39636
