Hello.
Is it possible to assign one of the Nord's Buttons (under the LCD Knobs) to a parameter of the patch, when that Knob is already assigned to something else?

ie. the rotary knob controls one thing, the button something else
thx

I don't think so. At least I haven't found a way to do it.

No. Some parameter assignments already use both the knob and button at the same time. It would also be difficult to show what the unrelated functions of the knob and the button were assigned to in the display.

I suspected as much. Damn. I still miss my G1 with its big panel of buttons!

Actually you can ...
Dasz, let me in on this little trick many moons ago and I've been using it in nearly every patch since. I couldn't find the patch in the archive so I hope he doesn't mind me re-posting it here:

I had forgotten about this workaround trick.

In this topic is an example patch that demonstrates how to use MIDI modules along with MIDI CC assignments to control any parameters that cannot be controlled directly by the sequencer output signals:

I do this one quite a lot as long as your control rate isn't too high it's perfect. Like those mad patches of Misty's that sweep the vocoder bands about.. you can do some stuff that I am pretty sure Clavia had not considered. Twisted Evil
