Being a silent forum user for some time, and learned a lot (but still not enough!), it's time to give something back to the community..
I don't really like the sync sound of the G2, so after reading this post
[http://www.electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?highlight=softsync&t=3215]
(thanks Rob), I decided to build a softsync-like patch.
It sound good to gorgeous to my ears, so here's for you.
Seven variations filled, the last one is supposed to be a good starting point, with the sync slave oscillator at 0Hz, and 'neutral' settings. Try move the 'SyncOffset' knob first (page A2).
I've used Tim Kleinert's Oscillator Warmth Circuit, which adds a nice analog touch (thanks Tim).
Speaking of warmth, my to-go choice for the filter is usually a diy 24dB, but it seems to me that in this particular patch the Nord sounds better. Can't explain why.
In fx area, a simple but useful filter-delay with a multi-mode filter.
I'm sure there's room for improvements, so any suggestion is welcome.
Enjoy![/url]

Glad you like it..I forgot to say that the oscillator labeled 'Slave' has to be set to 0 Hz and it's tune mode to 'Part' if one wants to obtain that softsync kind of sound..

Hi redmar!

Thanks for this patch. 1. it sounds good. 2. This is a good SoftSync synth example which I learned good things. The post you're talking (NM Classic gray signals) helped me a lot in what I'm studying now.

Thanks again !
