Very close to Yamaha DX7 series ... Unfortunately, I don't have time to make a demo at the moment (or any other demo, for that matter - tons of Tranzistow demos are still waiting to be done). And "playing" a synth over a small touchscreen is not very comfortable anyway. I am working on USB driver + PC application for routing MIDI to the board over USB. This will enable me to play it "for real".
During the last few weeks I developed advanced 8-operator QFM engine for my Tranzistow synthesizer. Among the other things, it can load all Yamaha DX7 patches so I now have over 25000 converted patches at my disposal. Of course, DX7 compatibility wasn't a primary goal of this project - it was just a nice demonstration of the possibilities of the engine.
Then I decided to remove all advanced features, strip it down to 6 operators and rewrite it from x86/x64 SSE assembler into Pascal and plain C so I can port it to other platforms. It just happened that I already had this board and my first embedded synth was born _________________ http://www.hrastprogrammer.com/hrastwerk/
