I am new to Chuck, but the whole idea, especially the on-the-fly modification of the code, fascinates me.

Unfortunately I can't make it run on my Ubuntu OS. I use pulseaudio for my sounds and installed Chuck via apt-get.

I followed the tutorial from the official website and tried to create a short sinus sound.

Code:
➭ chuck test.ck
[chuck]: (via rtaudio): no devices found for compiled audio APIs!
[chuck]: cannot initialize audio device (try using --silent/-s)

I tried to solve my problem by myself and came to this step, using chuck.alsa

Code:
➭ chuck.alsa test.ck

There comes no error message and my 2 second script is running for (I guess) 2 seconds. But there is no sound. Is the sound playing on the wrong output? What is the problem?

Running chuck.alsa --probe gives this output:

Code:
➭ chuck.alsa --probe
[chuck]: found 4 device(s) ...
[chuck]: ------( chuck -- dac1 )---------------
[chuck]: device name = "hw:HDMI,3"
[chuck]: probe [success] ...
[chuck]: # output channels = 8
[chuck]: # input channels  = 0
[chuck]: # duplex Channels = 0
[chuck]: default device = YES

[chuck]:     [0] : "Midi Through Port-0"[1]    5292 segmentation fault  chuck.alsa --probe

What does the error mean? Thanks for any help!
