I can lock the arpeggiator to external sync nicely. But when I stop the external clock, the internal clock takes over and the arpeggiator keeps playing.

Does anyone know about this, and how to deal with it?

Can you fix the internal BPM same as external source ? You can release the key (or deactivate the KB Hold function) or mute the sound too if you don't want the hear the sound when you stop the external clock.

Thanks electromagnetic. Those methods would work, but I use the KB Hold function to latch arpeggiators on across all four Slots. So neither releasing a key or muting sound are options.

Senior's Moment Alert! I should have figured this out right away. The Clock Generator has a Clk Active output. I patched that into a ValSwitch, and set the switching value to more than halfway (64 +). Then I used the ValSwitch as a Bypass On/Off for the audio stream, and voila! The only issue with this is that when there is NO clock, I can't play the arpeggiator unless I change the ClkSource to INTERNAL. But this is easily managed with a Knob on the G2 surface.
