haha I wish. Well actually I am not sure if I would want to build that and I definitely wouldn't use transistors. But I bet
that if you run it at its maximum frequency and probe it there is some music hidden in there. Of course you could also
just program the whole thing to make music.

My system doesn't take up that much space yet but here's a photo.

(you can find some recordings of that patch here)

I actually came across it after watching Ben Eater's excellent video series on how to built an 8-bit breadboard computer.

Knowing how digital circuits work it was pretty easy to follow but even if you don't know a lot about it it's not so hard to understand
as it is very well explained. I had no idea about the architecture of a computer though so that was very enlightening and I think I
actually start to understand assembly language a bit now. The part that really caught my attention is the memory. It uses both
EEPROMS and RAM which I am now thinking about incorporating in my own system. RAM would probaly most useful. The idea is to
have a memory module or box with inputs and outputs which I can patch up. You could make it into a controller and program things
into it and I might add some switches for that but what I mostly want to use it for is to have it read data from a patch at certain
(random) intervals and feed this data back to other places in the patch. So it will 'program' itself Very Happy

What an impressive display of handmade equipment!

Ha ha! In the top right corner of your photo, what is possibly wallpaper or a window shade looks like perfboard. You really love that stuff Smile !

Thanks guys Very Happy
If it wasn't for this place and all the positive feedback I get I wouldn't have built so much.

I never looked at it that way but it does resemble stripboard a bit. It's actually a tapestry covering my windows.
