I was messing around with audio device input/outputs tonight and I noticed that while there seems to be the capability to setup multiple audio outputs in Setup -> Audio setup...., I only have the option to setup one output device. The rest of the dropdowns are blank.

Is there some way I can have Wren output to two devices, for example my laptop speakers and also a virtual output?

The reason why I ask is I installed VB-audio (https://vb-audio.com/Cable/index.htm) which gives me a virtual cable I can then redirect to my microphone, for web apps that use it. So, I'd like to run Wren, sending sound to my mic which goes to an online jam session, and also monitor the sound in Wren on my laptop speakers or headphones.

Or maybe there is a better option, some kind of virtual software mixer that can output to multiple hardware/virtual devices? I'm open to suggestions.

I don't know what excact combinations can be made .. and I've never used Virtual Audio Cable.

For me, using ASIO, I will need to select the same ASIO device for both input and output (the software does not prevent one from selecting different ones, but that will not actually work, which seems to be an ASIO limitation).

Then on the selected ASIO device I can set up to 8 from all the in or out channels it has.

So .. to answer your question as I understood it .. probably no ... but what can be done .. you can route Wren audio to multiple channels (and for input, from multiple channels), and then make some connections in Wren ...

So ... with something like VAC or ReaRoute maybe it is possible to make the routing you want ... I don't know about that .. you will need to experiment a bit.

And when you do not currently have ASIO, you could try Asio4all.
