This is a secret message for Holland / Germany / Austria / Switzerland peoples.

Quote:
The most exciting x-mas surprise for Holland / Germany/ Austria / Switzerland spells A-a-v-i-k-k-o! The original „Yamaha Boys From Siilinjärvi“/Finland are going to hit Central European roads again in December. The first chance in years to see one of Finland’s best live-bands again on stage. Who has seen them on their last tour over here knows that we may expect nothing less but unforgettable nights between psycho-pop, trash-disco and weirdo-electronica. This will be the first time they’re presenting their new album „Back from the Futer“ live in concert. Don’t miss them! It will probably take years until they’re coming over again!

Don't come to the US unless you plan on filling a football stadium owned by Blockbuster and selling bottled water for $7 each (with the caps removed so you can't throw them at the stage).

Seriously, I may be over in London with my wife next summer, so I hope to catch some great shows....

actually Aavikko has done a US tour on 2002

In July 2002 Aavikko flew to San Francisco to start their first US tour, a coast-to-coast journey of 21 dates. To celebrate this tour, Aavikko and their tour companion Mono Pause released a single (Electro Motive, 2002) together, both groups covering each other’s songs. In Las Vegas Aavikko met an exotic singer called Kabar (who apparently had escaped from Guantanamo prison camp), and together they recorded “Eye fo the Leopard” (Muysic-05), first “schlexotica”- song in the world.

28.7 US Chicago, Abbey´s Pub
27.7 US Iowa City,
26.7 US Minneapolis,
25.7 US Columbia,
24.7 US Denton,
23.7 US Austin,
20.7 US Tucson, (w/Mono Pause)
19.7 US Las Vegas, (w/Mono Pause)
17.7 US Los Angeles, (w/Mono Pause, Seksu Roba)
16.7 US Oakland,(w/Mono Pause)
14.7 US Portland, (w/Mono Pause,The Kills)

12.7 US Eugene, Not My House (w/Mono Pause)

i have heard great stories from that tour - and i can tell it went just fine - and they did not perform in any stadium - but that was 2002 this is now.

Dammit! I only started listening to them this past year.

I'm going to order the Derek! album and the other one that I can never remember the name of (with the downhill skiier graphic that is so awesomely retro).
