Here is a wave shaping idea. The triangle wave from OscPM1 goes to a differentiator (yellow) which gives a square wave whose output changes when the slope of the triangle reverses. In this case, I am switching one half of the triangle with a cross faded inverted copy. The effect alone is not very dramatic as shown in variation 1, variation 2 and 3 combine it with phase modulation and phase sync.

The second patch generates an odd only harmonic series. The square wave only has even numbered harmonics present. This patch uses the techniques described above to get a 2Xhalf sine like sawtooth and combines with the original sine to give the complimentary harmonic spectrum of a square. If you have a spectrum analyser, you can see the sets of harmonics as you cross fade.

Experimented a bit with the 2nd one, can get some nice step filter like sounds out of it (with some automation) - especially on low notes.

I really like the first one. I know this is the building blocks forum, but I thought I'd share my quick set of variations... maybe it will inspire someone to use this patch creatively Smile
