Check out this old skool wave shaper schematic i found in an old book i got from the library. Dont know if it's against forum rules to post this but i thought you guys might like to see it.

Hardly any parts, 11 pots, and a couple ics.

I havent tested it yet, but i cant wait to try it out.

"...program thousands of wave forms... it will step through the pots at a rate set by R1 which controls the frequency of the 555. If you change C1 to a 1 uf or 5 uf electrolytic cap you can use it as a ten step sequencer...."

It's essentially a Baby10 with unnecessary analog switches at each step.

btw, the schematic is incomplete. A dot is missing connecting pin 4 of IC4 to "Out" and the outputs from IC5 (pins 2 & 9) are completely missing.

If it's Delton T. Horn's brown coloured book on synthesizers, I still have it (for some reason. Razz ).

I heard on the rec.music.synth newsgroup many a year ago, that that book of his at least is FULL of errors. I haven't ever built anything from it, because of that.

dang, bummer to know that it's full errors, alot of the schematics look pretty tasty. It's a good read though lots of interesting ideas.

I did notice its almost exactly like a baby 10- But probably clocked at a super duper fast speed to create one wave pulse.

I dont know if i'll be able to bread board it if theres tons of errors. Bummer

Hey, where do you get on calling 1984 "vintage"? Haha, Maybe I'm just behind the times - this is what, 2008? Oh man take me back in the wayback machine!

Problem seems to be imo, the wayback machne only goes to 1972. Laughing
