Thank you!

I love doing these feedbacks from far out, like reverb or delay out back to the core of sound generation.
Also using the filters FM or feedback input. Gives easily complex evolving structures, organic depth in sound in my opinion.
Not quite there yet, but exciting already.

Hm, sorry, that is the version with the volume all up, I hope nobody will be hurt!

Marcus

I thought I responded to this topic, but must have forgotten to hit the submit button.

Anyway, this is an amazing patch. What is the Theory Of Operation? Very Happy

Sound core:

It´s a S/H clocked by the usual inverter clock (could even try without).
Each clock cycle a constant is substracted in mixer.
When the sum get´s negative, second inverter (logic) switches on,
some bigger amount is added as long as it is negative, so the cycle can start again.
Basically a modulated ramp Edit: triangle, that will also switch a flip-flop at times, which gives a PWM.

The ´negative´ indicating pulse is also a bit smoothed out,
delayed and amplitude modulates the ramp itself.

Would like to use the (faster) diy envelope follower here,
have to look in toolbox.

Not much of a theory though, maybe I could put something up Smile

... in nature structure is not composed top-down, it is emerging by dynamic stabilisation of chaotic micro-substructures.
Also time is an illusion, because in reality, nothing repeats.

Thanks for your interest!

/Marcus

I find these chaos patches and circuits facinating. Much more interesting than random because they sometimes get into stretches that sound repeated, then by themselves they take of into random sounding stuff. I like them when there are controls you can interact with even when you can't describe what it is the control is actually doing. In this way, they are a bit like bent circuits.

I'm pretty sure you actually *did* reply. I missed your response second time I read this thread anyway!

Very Happy This is what chaos is about. Sometimes it´s there and sometimes
not.
