I was inspired by RichardNixon's theresynth patch:
http://electro-music.com/forum/post-83402.html#83402

Got me thinking about taking the audio in and getting the oscillators/filters to try to recreate it.

At the moment I have the 4 inputs connected to 4 outputs on my (borrowed) 909. So, I set up this patch, using the zero counter to get pitch, and the envelope follower to get, well, envelope. Then to have simple osc/filter synths for each, with the envelope opening the filter.

I was amazed that, without any real tweaking, the system immediately produced recognisable kick, snare, clap and hats. Plus a lot of very cool tone squiggles.

My very primitive drum recreator patch. Put four individual drum sounds into the four inputs. Ch6 on the mixer is clean, so make sure that's down, or you'll think this really is a miracle.
