here is an update, the last one has a bug on the transpose function
I join a little demo of music made with it, the clocked-fm patch previously posted, and two patch taken from the electro-music.com collection..

i'm not very proud of this sample track, I'll post a better one next time...
I have a question: does anybody have a trick to encode the pitch and velocity in one blue cable ?
it means that it should be able to mix in two signals 0-127 in one 0-127 and
mix out one in two without loss of information
I want to add velocity handle in this sequencer.
I know it seems impossible...
Maybe I should buy an mpc or plug the midi cables from my computer... but... i want the G2 to be completely autonomous...
any idea ? |

Well, sorry for the silly question... I think i will use a delay clock to handle the velocity in this patch.
I asked this question because i'm currently working on a non volatile version of this patch, with notes sequencers , so, a velocity trick would have been nice...
I'm going to post a wish for a better note sequencer.... |

It's more like I don't really understand why you want velocity and pitch to flow through one blue wire. This may be possible but it will be pretty complicated. Would it not be possible to duplicate the pitch processing and use the copy for velocity processing ? _________________ Jan

Oh yes, you're right, thanks for your answer ; in the present case, that's a good solution to duplicate the pitch processing.
I were asking that question for another project:
I want to find a nice way to record velocity and pitch into a note sequencer :
It would be nice to record and save a long sequence of notes with velocity in a patch.
I think that it may be dsp cheaper to have a circuit that do a pitch-velocity merge, in the case of a noteSeq chain (4 or 8 sequencers for example), instead of duplicate the whole chain to handle velocity ( well, hmm, maybe...)
I've considered the DA/AD converters, but I think it wouldn't suit, as 4 bits are not enough to code pitch or velocity..
I can't send a patch right now as i'm a bit far from my G2.. |

The "maybe" may be appropriate
Sequencers are not really expensive modules and some smart logic somehow always tends to eat a lot of resources. In general that is ...
Indeed, as you said, four bits is not many, both for velocity and for pitch. Otoh 16 notes could be usefull still but it would need a decoder then (another sequencer probably). _________________ Jan

Thank you Jan for your advices, you're certainly right, I will just try something with 3 bits for velocity , 5 for pitch, it may be enough....
After that, I'll focus on possible things, i promise
