just came up with this Lunetta style APC idea : 3 of them fit into 1 40106 ( or even 5, if you use 1 master astable multivib. & 5 slave one-shots ).
I did not breadboard it yet, so it would be nice if someone could do it over the weekend and confirm it's working Smile

YES ! it sounds really APC-ish; just got the time to breadboard it.
Also nice kind of filter-sounds without D1 ( worth to use a switch)...

Interesting! Need to give your circuit a try. Thanks for sharing it.

I ran into a stepped tone generator once accidentally when messing around on my bread board. This is the circuit I had.

I also built a version with a 4093. Needs even less components, but only 1 APC per chip...

your "accidental" circuit uses a digital sampled feedback. I would expect a kind of "aliasing" sounds. Perhaps you can post mp3s of both sounds !?

Sure. Smile I can even post a recording of all three sounds. Each recording has two full sweeps forward and back of the main potentiometer.
