Quite frequently. I would say daily or more, I have a problem where MIDI controller data is spewing out of my Nord Lead 2. This is happening even though I'm not moving any knobs. I can see what CC# it is by going into step edit on my sequencer and seeing what they are.
Then I consult my Nord Lead 2 manual and determine which knobs need to be moved around until the data stops. Sometimes it can take a few turns to get the data to stop.
It seems to be mainly certain knobs eg amp env attack, amp env sustain, Osc tune, Fine tune etc.
Is there a fix for this?

I don't know the age of your synth, so maybe it can be the pots which are getting warmer and change their value a little. In the Yahoo mailing list I answered you to us the [Shift+LFO1-wave form] combination, which shows the values in the screen. If it jumps a little between two values it confirms this.

Yes. Mostly Clavia will replace the complete panel board.

Soldering on a print board nobody likes, so...
If you can find the board, you can even do it yourself.
The NordLead isn't out of production, so there is a fair chance to get it replaced.

In my synth Amp Sustain does it a lot...
It's caused by heating by the power supply.

Now how to solve it...

Are you sure it's caused by overheating. My repair man reckons it could be caused by dirty pots.

In my synth it happens only to the Amp Sustain, which is just above the coil! But I'm not a repairman Smile
