Hi good folks,
Thought I'd announce that Cycling 74 has a substantially new version of MAX that they've just announced. I'm just starting to play with it, and like it so far very much. I've had my head into other musics this last year, this is bringing me back.

I hate the fact that only version 5 (the new one) is Leopard compatible. I have version 4.6 and Leopard and I don't think I am going to spend 199 USD for that (plus all the other goodies).

Actually 4.6.3 works pretty well under Leopard. I've run into no problems.

That said, I think that Max 5 is really worth the money. The workflow is _so_ much better.

Max/MSP 4.6.3

Click on the links below to begin downloading. Updated 16 May 2007 for Mac PPC and Intel machines running OS X 10.3.9 or later (10.4 recommended, but no support for 10.5 Leopard yet).

I have always run into problems since upgrading to Leopard, fortunately I have a PPC iMac running Tiger.
cycling74 has been the only software house (at least for the applications I know and use) not upgrading their products for Leopard.

Sorry you're having problems. That hasn't been the consensus, though:

About the only major thing Leopard broke for me was Photoshop 7, fwiw.

Yeah, I have that, and while it's a fairly good Photoshop clone, as far as it goes, it doesn't go far enough.

There are several things that Photoshop offers that I miss in Pixelmator.
