Hopefully he will not only get the recognition he truly deserves, but also some money to make up for all the time and dedication he has put into his hobby! |

Lol, the minute I saw the synth comes with Steiner-Parker filter, Yves came to my mind, and the filter I built from his page of course.
The synth on the demos sounds really great, good work Yves , can we read somewhere about the whole/some of the process?
I hope it will reach my part of the world to try/buy hehee. _________________ Freddy, riding the wave!

Very nice.
100% analog audio path, I guess that means software lfo/eg?
I'm not complaining, modern processors are more than up to the job.
It looks great and I love the fact that it has no presets. |

The enveloppes are analog (Yusynth ADSR based with some improvements) the LFO was analog in the first version but because it was necessary to synchronise it with the arpeggiator, the LFO now is digital. The vibrato is fll analo too. _________________ Yves |

You guys knocked it out of the park! I think you will sell as many as you feel like making. I don't know when I am getting one, but I can't see not buying one at that price.
Is the digital section going to be fixed or updatable? _________________ http://appliancide/blogspot.com |

First, I want to thank you all for your enthusiasm about the MiniBrute.
Concerning the digital section yes it will be updatable, this is one of the reason why there is a USB plug in it. Note that the USB is also used to set some parameters of the keyboard section such as Velocity enable or disable and choosing the Velocity Curve, same for the Aftertouch. The default setting is Velocity disabled and Aftertouch active. Normally (I don't master the digital section of this machine) the MiniBrute can handle the Polychain mode.
Note that the Arpeggiator can also be used as a basic sequencer. In the Hold mode, you press and hold the first key of the sequence, then you just enter the other notes by pressing the corresponding keys while still holding the first note of the sequence, during this process you can change the octave range of the keyboard between entering the notes therefore you are not limited to two octaves for the sequence. You can sequence a maximum of 12 notes. Unfortunatly once playing the sequence it cannot be transposed by the keyboard because pressing a new key resets the sequence. _________________ Yves |

Great feature set, at a very good price point, can't wait to try it out.
Bit of leap though, between all the digital stuff available, but at this price no bassplayer should be without one
Nice to see Nyle in the brochure as well.
Also very keen on hearing how the design process went.
Good stuff! |

I have a user request: that any external software written to work with the minibrute be ported to Linux. I use neither Windows nor Mac and have no plans to. There are synths out there that, regrettably, I cannot work with because they depend on software that only runs on Windows, or Mac, and that's not an option in my studio. _________________ There's an invisible radio gnome playing a gong from a flying teapot - don't miss out! |

I got mine on pre-order before I heard Yves was involved. I'm even more excited and pleased knowing the quality of his work.

P.S. In the photo of Nyle in the brochure, he is sitting in front of the Synthasystem Nyle helped me resurrect from his old schematics. I'm very glad Nyle is getting some press time. _________________ David M. Ingebretsen, M.S., M.E.
