I hear what you are saying Dan, but I'm trying to reduce the amount of projects I build and just concentrate on making music. So in order to reduce temptation, I'm looking for a pre programmed chip.

I've got an old Hammond X5 that is in pretty dire shape. I keep wondering if I could replace the guts of that old girl with a couple of these. The trick would be figuring out how to deal with the drawbars. I'm not sure if it's even possible.

I see Parallax has introduced the Propeller Mini (#32150). It should be easy enough to use the new mini with a perfboard, a TDA1543 from ebay and a TS912 to replace the TS914 and a 6N139. You would need to buy or borrow the little Prop Plug USB programmer but this project just got a little easier (and smaller) to make.
