Reiterating this Muffwiggler thread here in case some members use the Electro-Music forum exclusively:

The Yahoo Group for the Milton sequencer was abandoned by its founder several years ago. It has since been flooded with spam, and no one but the founder can currently end that (by changing membership to restricted) and clean up.

Dr Tim Stinchcombe and me would like to do that now because we speculate that the message and file archives might hold information for building/ repairing/ maintaining Miltons that isn't found elsewhere and that is currently hard to find because of the spam.

Yahoo says we need a successful members' poll to transfer group ownership from an unresponsive founder. If you own or plan to build a Milton, or just want to help us out, please join the group at https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/milton-sequencer/info and vote.
There are five days left - we want to keep the voting period brief to avoid spammers getting scent of it and outvoting us.

Note: of course we asked the group founder and Milton designer if he'd be interested in getting the group back in shape, but he said that his password for that account was lost "three PCs ago" so he's technically unable to give anyone moderator status, and ignored further communication on the subject (while he did respond to occasional Plan B and Milton related questions). Our plan is not meant to exclude him, we will be happy to give him back his moderator status once ownership has been transferred (and provided he gets a usable account again of course).
