One of my favorite movies is Starship Troopers. I never read the novel. I read some Heinlein when I was in grade school but I discovered GOOD sci-fi before I got to that novel.

(I like to say things like that at nerd gatherings to start arguments.)

This tune has Werkstatt, Microbrute, Microkorg, CZ-101 and Microsampler. If you guess which is which you win absolutely nothing.

Starship Troopers was a very quirky movie, but it was entertaining, especially during my childhood. I was kinda overwhelmed by the movie at the time too. This song pays enough tribute to the movie surely keeping the spacey theme intact. Smile

I wasn't thinking about the movie when I improvised this music. I almost always have nothing in mind when I start a piece and just play how I feel in the moment.

Then, when the tune is finished, its overall feeling usually suggests a title to me. Occasionally not. I once named a tune "nameless" because I couldn't think of a name. I called a recent tune "eponymous" because I thought that would be funny.

I wish I didn't have to name the tunes. It sets up expectations that inevitably color how the tunes are heard. But past artists have used various alphanumeric title designations and they just color expectations differently.

From now on all my tunes will be named George Foreman. Razz
