Age of the Universe (full version) |
 |
|
"Age of the Universe" is a brand new composition by TFDP, which is a kind of travelling in the Universe and in time as well. This composition mixes up the modern sythesizer sounding with the awesome atmosphere of 70's and 80's. I hope you'll enjoy it. Have a good journey!

Age of the Universe final version on Bandcamp |
 |
|
Age of the Universe is available on Bandcamp now.
I was inspired to carry on composing this song, so you can listen to the final version with the new "epilogue" session at the end of the song:

"Age of the Universe is a kind of travelling in Space and Time at the same time. If you love listening to Berlin school type music and like the modern synthesizer atmosphere as well, you'll enjoy this composition. This song will be part of the upcoming album, Cosmic Waves."
Enjoy!

Time Spiral |
 |
|
Time Spiral - the lates composition by TFDP from the upcoming album, Cosmic Waves.
I have been working for several weeks on this composition. I admire the 80’s guitar effects, so I have used them on guitar parts, thanks for the state-of-the-art UAD and great PSP plugins.
UVI plugins and Strymon external effects made outstanding work on synthesizer and drum parts as well.
This time I used old but always up-to-date mellotron sounds as well as modern synthesizer sounds at the same time, but I used only software synthesizers.
I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did while I was working on it.

I just stumbled onto this thread and have started to listen to the earlier tunes posted before trying the newest one. Very enjoyable--but way too short! Looking forward to hearing more. Thanks for sharing.
Steve

TFDP |

Some words about The Fourth Dimension Project aka TFDP and my work: the centrepiece of my studio is a Logic Pro X with a Universal Audio Apollo 8 Duo audio interface with a Satellite extension. Previously I had used Cubase but after I got to know Logic I realised that it fitted my workflow better. Although Logic Pro X has great effect plugins I hardly ever use them, because there are awesome third party effect plugins on the market, for instance UAD, UVI, Waves and PSP effects. Effect plugins like UVI Relayer not only effects but a kind of instrument as well. There are great reverb and delay software plugins in my “arsenal” (PSP42, UVI Sparkverb, UAD Lexicon 224 or EMT 250, Korg SDD-3000), my personal favourites are Strymon BigSky and Strymon DIG. I use them as studio effects not only for guitars.
By the way guitars, I always wanted to use a wide range of guitar and amplifier sounds, so I bought a Roland VG-99. I use hardware and software sythesizers as well in my music. Hardware sythesizers are the following: Korg Triton 61, Access Virus Rack XL, Yamaha Motif-Rack ES and a guitar synthesizer as well: Roland GR-33. It’s a real challenge to play on it without “ghost notes”, it requires very clear guitar technique. Although I use a bunch of software synthesizers from Roland, Korg, Native Instruments, Uhe, UVI, Waves, Arturia, Spectrasonics and Steinberg, my personal favourites are Omnisphere by Spectrasonics and Falcon by UVI.
My aim was to create a unique sounding synthesizer music based on the style of the great ancestors like Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre and Mike Oldfield (just think of “The Songs of Distant Earth”).
I hope you will enjoy my compositions and support TFDP by sharing and/or purchasing its music. Thank you so much for interesting in TFDP’s music!

Also, inspiring--went to play along on my upright piano at one point and ended up going off into a progression (varied from yours) with chords I never usually play around with. Thanks for sharing!!

Thank you!
“Unique” is an especially welcome compliment. I work on the edges of a wide variety of genres including Electronic, Soundscapes, Americana, Orchestral, etc.
I very much enjoy exploring and being influenced by the various online forums and listening platforms.
Glad I’ve added your music to that exploration. 😎 _________________ https://www.instagram.com/1roomstudio/
