Wanted: Yamaha AN200 software bundle Subject description: Looking for the free s/w for the AN200 |
 |
|
Hi Everyone,
I just bought a Yamaha AN200 on ebay, and it didn't come with the famous free editing software CD that's mentioned in all the online product reviews.
Ususally Yamaha are the best about making s/w and manuals available - but I just can't seem to find this bundled s/w anywhere.
I'm wondering if anyone here at electro-music knows of an online source where I can download this s/w?
Alternately, if an online sources doesn't exist, is there anyone who has a copy of the s/w who's willing and able to let me FTP it from them somehow?
Thanks and best regards,

Hi there,
Thanks for the link. I found that one before, but unfortunately, that download is a XG works plug in - and won't work as a stand-alone application. It looks for XG works to be already installed.
I'm guessing there was a oem version of XG works on that on the AN200 s/w CD which allowed the editor to run, but finding it (through legal means) hasn't been easy.
Thanks for trying though.
cheers,

Have you tried the freeware standalone AN1X editor? Maybe that would work. I understand the AN1X and AN200 share some internals.
There's also the standalone editor for the PLG150-AN, which I think is the card inside the AN-200?
http://www.yamahasynth.com/download/plg_series.html
Its listed at the bottom of the page.
Good luck!

Hi huppodad,
I just wanted to post back and say thanks, again - it looks like the last link you provided did the trick - I loaded it up and it's indeed the AN editing panel I was looking for. Now to learn how to use it... ;-)
thanks again and best regards,
