G2 engine midi clock twice as fast as I want it Subject description: G2 engine midi clock twice as fast as I want it |

Hi
I am on Logic 5.5.1 on PC and the sequencer on the G2 is going at twice the rate of its MIDI clock. The master turns red and off the scale above 150 bpm. Not had this long and I am stumped! Seems to be on all patches. Logic is set up fine. MMMmmmm dont think that there is a PPQN setting in Logic? |

Can't really help you with your problem, but still wanted to say
In general it seems better to sync software from the G2 and not the other way around, well that's what most people say, never tried it myself. _________________ Jan

Yes I have read this elsewhere on the forum, and I will try this but, even if that is a better way its dose not seem a more convenient way as i would have to start the nord each time I wanted to just start the sequencer. I am sure that a basic clock should work anyway even if its not spot bollock accurate. I would like to solve this one even if I do use another technique later on as it is just not the way it should be. |

An idea
Although I dont know logic I would suspect some kind of midi
clock loop.
is G2's midi out connected to the computer's midi IN
If yes check the thru/merge setting in logic

Solved it. NOW I am in sync! On logic 5.x you need to set (in the AUDIO synchronization page) "audio sync mode" to anything but continuous. At last my LFOs and triggers are finally in time though. Not tried any percussion yet but if I fly in the parts as audio and then sort out the spot bollock timing there that will be cool enough.
When I had a go at syncing logic to the G2 although the timing seemed "OK" it was maybe a bit "soft" the tempo going up and down in the read out slightly was a bit un-nerveing. So I will stick to syncing the nord like this for now. Fine for LFOS envelopes delays ect
Thanks
