Having played the great A6 for a while, I now want to try out other peoples presets I´ve found on the internet.

I´ve read the A6 and my sequencer (Cubase SX3) manual and searched the net, but I must admit I´m still very dim on how to control the synth from my sequencer, and how to send the presets from my computer to the A6. Sad

Could anybody please help me, or at least point me in the right direction? Any tip much appreciated.

1. Create a new MIDI track in Cubase (and an audio track if you want).
2. Make sure the MIDI interface you are using is properly recognized by Cubase
3. Choose a port in your MIDI interface (a port is MIDI In / MIDI Out duality) and
4. connect the A6's MIDI In to the MIDI interface's MIDI Out
5. connect the A6's MIDI Out to the MIDI interface's MIDI In
6. on the A6, go the Global setting enable MIDI transmit and receive. If you want you can also enable NRPNs (for the parameters that are not supported by MIDI directly), Sys-ex and Program changes.
7. If everything is set up properly you should see MIDI activity when you play your A6
8. If you try to transmit patches or banks and you notice that they are not received properly, you need to increase the Sys-ex delay on the A6 (a hidden page) and possibly on your MIDI interface too. I have noticed that the A6 chokes when it receives bulk dumps in a fast rate.
9. If you don't know how to access the hidden page send me a private mail.

I hope that helps
Yannis
