I was wondering if someone knew of somewhere that I can get a free sampler that can loop parts of music and change pitch, etc.? If there isn't a free one, does anyone know of a cheap hardware one?

PS
I'm running Windows XP!

Thanks!

If you've got the choice, I'd go the hardware route to begin with. Hardware samplers are so cheap these days. The Roland W30 comes highly recommended. It's got a first rate sequencer and decent keyboard to boot. You only get 2mb of ram, but if used carefully, it can seem like plenty. After that, save for a decent software type. NI's Kontakt comes SWALK Very Happy

Yeah, I was just about to suggest the same. There are immense numbers of Akai samplers out there. I friend of mine in Germany just got 5 mint condition AKAI S1000s for 90 euro. These could be useless though depending on what you intend to use them for. These aren´t exactly stuffed with RAM. Laughing

Moved this to the Windows as a music workstation forum. I'm sure if you look though this forum you will get some good ideas.
