Man, that is a good deal. I've been wanting an Andromeda for years and it's now finally creeping within range of some impulse indulgence retail therapy.
Argh, should my xmas present to myself be an Andromeda, Prophet 08, or modular? Decisions! |

Regarding the fact it's utopias falling's first post, I surely go for spam

Saw your posts, can understand your caution, no I am not a spammer. Just want to pass along a GREAT deal to any who are interested. If you have any doubts call Alesis and speak with a tech( they are a comin') The new batch of Andros should be out late September or mid October. Or maybe you could call Guitar Center of Boise Idaho to verify.

Just received my call 10/11/08 from Guitar Center. The Andromedas ship to the stores October 15 and should arrive next Saturday. Sounds like Sweetwater will have a few extra on hand 7 or so, after taking care of the pre orders. Still at risk of sounding like a spammer I think you could still swing one for around $2250 new plus tax at Guitar Center.
Anyhow cant wait to start hacking next weekend…………………utopias falling |

Well, I don't need a lot of different gear but I like to have a backup in case something goes wrong. To me, this is very important with gear which isn't being manufactured anymore.

I want a second one, too. I should have bought it when they went for something like 2200 euros. Shame on me. |

The one I bought new a few days ago went for about 2100 EUR. I bought it for my company, because I can deduct the tax this way, so it costs me 1750 EUR in the end. It is a real bargain for a new 16-voice VCO synth! |

It's funny. A few months back I had posted that after a year of owning an A6 I hadn't really bonded with it and wanted to sell it. Now I'm actually thinking of buying a second one. |

Thanks for the welcome Jyoti.
I have only had two hours with it and it is more than I had hoped for after waiting 8 years since they came out to finally have one.
I can hardly wait for this weekend to lock myself away and start to scratch the surface of this remarkable instrument........Steve |

I'm still waiting for a synthporn shot where someone's got a bank of 'em, like Vince Clarke did with the CZ-101! _________________ My music: here! |

It's such knobular beauty, isn't it? When I first got mine, I went through a few presets and started twiddling. Then I sat back and just stared, a bit overwhelmed!
Hours have flown by, cups of tea forgotten and gone cold while I've been losing myself in the A6. _________________ My music: here! |
