Hi folks, I am happy to report that I am involved in discussions with Doug Slocum to carry built eChucK products, specifically the Karplus Strong board for now, as part of his product line at Synthetic Sound Labs! So built boards will be available.

Resurrected from the 1970's, Doug's company Synthetic Sound Labs has a brand new web page at www.steamsynth.com where you can view Doug's products and his interesting historical photos and descriptions from synth days gone by. Doug goes by "dugernaut" here on the forum if you'd like to contact him.

We have some questions related to customer expectations, so please voice your opinions and we'll do our best to match them. Do you want harness connectors or just bare terminals on the board? What type of documentation should I put together for you? How do we handle sales and service?

Obviously we're just putting this together, so please provide us with your insights, thanks!

Les

Three options to consider:

A new forum at the Steamsynth.com site (easiest for the customers, but not for the other EM members)

A separate section in the "Instruments and Equipment" section at electro-music.com.

A new subforum at the "DIY Hardware and Software" section. ( these are prebuilt modules (?) , but mods are bound to be made)

Doug, congratulations on the site, looks good. And congratulations on the collaboration.

And, ermm... excuse me, but will the EM Store be a distributer also?

Yes Mathe, the electro-music store will carry the bare boards and Synthetic Sound Labs will carry the assembled boards.
