1. a rightclick dropdown context menu for an input or output with all available input or output destinations in a particular patch's VA or FX area. could save time and mousing!
2. an option to disable all numerical display popups -- the ones that appear when you turn a knob, for instance. this could bring back adjusting and tuning by ear rather than watching and obsessing over numbers!
3. as i mentioned in its own topic, the ability to delete all cables in a patch or selected group of modules with a single right click option, for example. |

I´ve used that system in some software modulars and disagree. It looks nice for three or four modules but does not scale well. Very quickly you´ll have hundreds if not thousands of list entrys and cooking up naming schemes becomes essential and will eat a lot of your time. Admittedly in the G2 where only a limited number of outputs is available that might be less of a issue for outputs but you can still have quite a few inputs I´m not sure exactly how many but quite possibly more then you can list in the height of a standard monitor.
Basically you are trading some mouse movement for spacial relationships. That´s a bad deal, I think, for having a internal representation of your dataflow. _________________ Kassen |

I like this idea! I bet it would have the added benefit of less eye strain. However, it would be best if the related function key would still work - the key that momentarily shows all values (F7? F8?). This would be handy for the few parameters in the patch that might really need to be set to a specific value. _________________ Dave Peck |
