Subject description: ..started during a gig - temperature and fog fluid to blame?

My trusty Nord G2 Keys developed a weird problem during my last gig. While playing at a hot and humid club (Kater Holzig) the rotary encoders, buttons and LED rings started to behave erroneously - the encoder wheel to select patches started to switch between Variations, one half of the LED rings is always lit and Encoders 5 and 6 stopped working altogether.

The technician there was guessing it could have to do with the residue of the fog machine fluid (it was a 4 hour gig and the problem started in the last hour). When the G2 was still behaving that way at home I opened it up and checked the control panel assembly, but a rough first inspection doesn't show any problems.

any hints what I could do? Tried re-updating the firmware, tried removing the expansion board, deleting patches, etc. It behaves normally via the editor and responds to MIDI alright, just the actual control panel is pretty much unusable at this point.

thanks for any pointers!

Sorry to hear about your issue. How long has it been since the gig? It may just need to dry out before it works properly, again. That would be the optimistic view... I've seen electronics that have been exposed to moisture come back to life over a week after the initial exposure.
Good luck, and hopefully you won't have to replace the panel or the G2!
