Careful with the beta Editor 1.41 b272(intel mac 10.5)! Subject description: don't loose your patchs |

With the beta 1.41 b272, sometimes when you try to save a patch in the internal synth memory YOU CAN CRASH THE PRESET.
So beta testers be careful and Intel Mac users BE PATIENT... Last edited by gomidas on Thu Mar 13, 2008 12:37 pm; edited 1 time in total |

Did you report this to Clavia?
I think the forum isn't the place to write about it.

Backing up your presets should be standard practice when testing beta software.
It never fails to surprise me when somebody downloads beta software and tries it without backing anything up. _________________ Current and recent work on Soundcloud

I just don't want the other testers to permanently loose a patch like me.
I will report this to Clavia as soon as they get back from the Musikmesse

I was about to do it, as I was working on a new patch.
But anyway I still have a previous version on my disk drive.
PS:GovernorSilver, PLEASE can you remove the quote because I've just edited my first post to be more precise about the bug, THANKS
Now I think I should have post this in the BUGS section of the forum.
Can somebody do it,mosc? anyone?

Wout is right in that beta software should not be discussed here, and not in the bugs section either. Still this beta in practice has turned out to be a public beta, so the warning seems only appropriate to me and useful for others, thanks Gomidas!
I don't see any real harm done by the quote of the original message still being present. It was formulated a bit sloppy, I agree on that, but the intention was clear enough to me, and now there are two descriptions even, so that should just be better maybe ...
Is it really a big problem for you Gomidas when it stays the way it is? I mean, it could be changed of course. _________________ Jan

Hi Jan,
If this is a public beta where can I get hold of it? I cannot find it on the Clavia site.
Cheers

Hey Andy,
no it's not that public, but a while ago Clavia's Tomas Johansson posted a message here on the forum asking people wanting to beta best to contact him, so it is sort of public.
See: http://electro-music.com/forum/post-171893.html#171893
when that doesn't directly give the right page, it's on page 12, msg 13 from the top. _________________ Jan
