Good news from Clavia. Let's try to keep this thread on the topic of news from Clavia.

General OS discussions and such can be held on some other topic. Thanks...

No-no-no-no! This is a serious board with a clear function, not some cosy get-together that may have a nominal topic but that's actually a sort of fun get-together where half the active contributors don't even own the synth under debate.

"Function over fun" is a good rule to go by, we are talking about music here, serious business, don't make light of it like that!

Yes- an interesting observation (I, for one am guilty Rolling Eyes Laughing ). Parallels I suppose could be drawn with all those who oppose wind farms (a bunch of farmers farting into tubes and syphoned off to British Gas for further processing! Laughing ).....those who mainly oppose wind farms, who write in complaining that the countryside will be spoilt, mainly come from areas which are not even in the closest of the vicinity to the proposed sites.- ie most live more than 100 miles away (and/or have posh accents! Laughing ).

Well, at least half of us own the item in question.

Whenever a manufacturer announces a new synth, all the discussion boards fill up with pages after pages of heaty debates, cheering and defending or hating and bashing a product that nobody owns. Laughing

I love it on Amazon where a product that has not yet been released (mostly games) have loads of 5 star reviews.

Dasz? Could you explain a bit about your new avatar? It looks a bit like you just finished some futuristic sporting event, but perhaps it's the latest fashion?

Just curious.

The new avatar is picture of me taken a few days ago. I'm doing some promo images for some upcoming shows.

The red glasses should be a surprise to no-one. Wink

But, what did you think about the little post set practice? (WARNING Potential thread hijacking detected -- http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-23185-0.html&postdays=0&postorder=dec&highlight=)

So, I wonder when we see the new editors? I haven't seen or heard anything from anyone at this point.

Actually, it a photo for a Japanese Anime character. Thus the hair, eyes and the 2 single rows of fused teeth (flossing would be difficult, no)

Hi
If any of you Nord Modular G2 owners would like to spend an hour or two, trying to break the upcoming Vista and MacIntel compatible G2 updater and the Editor, please get in touch with me by sending an email to feedback [at] clavia.se.

This would involve a download from your side of a few megabytes, we cannot provide CDs at this point.

We would especially welcome anyone who has 64 bit versions of Vista and also XP to give it a spin.

/tomas johansson

And if you look good you'll find out it is already Clavia's second post, Dasz. Smile

Anyway, I hope it ends the never ending question: "Is Clavia monitoring this?" and "I will mail Clavia about..." They already know.
Back in the days of the old [NM]list everybody could understand the rule e.g. "When I create a mailing list about 'Dasz', guess who will be the first to subscribe?" Smile

The whole question was answered when Fredrik Hylvander made an automatic reply when Clavia was on holidays, which I had to unsub as being a moderator Very Happy

It looks like they are going to address some bugs in the OS.

My one request would be to please add onto the OS a way to use the patch mutator with MIDI instead of just with the editor. At least with the randomization and mutate buttons?

So far works good!!

Well, this is a great way for this topic to develop. At first it seems very gloomy and depressing. Now, things are looking up.

BTW. we already have Wish List and Bugs sub forums. Please post such requests there. I have no doubt that before investing any time on OS upgrades, Clavia engineers would review those forums pretty closely.

Yes they are Very Happy .

The install went very smoothly, I have seen no sign of any issues so far.

Well done Clavia.

It must be the Swedish Steel. Bravo -- to the guys at Clavia. I don't have Vista or 64 bit XP, so I will skip on testing this one unless it is a build for normal XP as well.

Let me know.
