Thanks for the welcome. I did realize it was a bit of thread necromancy going on Wink

To stay OT. Here are some great female electronic musicians.

Pharmakon
VTSS
Elizabeth Bernholz (Gazelle Twin)
Ellen Allien
Karin Elisabeth Dreijer ( The Knife, Fever Ray)
Anais Neon (Vile Electrodes)
Rachael Kozak (Hecate)
Nika Roza Danilova (Zola Jesus)
Grimes
Mahr
Nikki Colk (Factory Floor, Carter Tutti Void)
And of course Cosey from that same collective and Throbbing Gristle Wink

wow, zero posts here during the pandemic.
I discovered that I'm a woman during the pandemic.

I wonder if there are any other trans people here?
Ive met so many trans women that do experimental electronic music since I came out.

I know one and have encountered others on Mastodon. But I only know a few of the local denizens here.

Bleekza, welcome to electro-music.com

It's not possible to tell if a poster here is trans or not if they don't overtly say so.

I grew up in an era when trans people were brutally persecuted. Very few people came out for understandable reasons. I was unaware. As an adult working at Bell Laboratories back at the turn of this century, the lights were turned on for me. A friend I had known for fifteen years came out in an email to the company. I didn't have a clue, or at least I wasn't sensitive enough. When she came out, even in a place which was predominantly "liberal", I could see her being terribly mistreated. She eventually was so uncomfortable she had to leave the company. (That was possibly not the only reason.)

I'm ignorant of trans people in experimental music, but I'd like remedy this. Here, we want to be supportive and open to all musicians. So, if you feel so motivated, please invite people you know to join our community.
