Hello!
I finished my WSG (my first electronics project). It sounds
great! My band mates love it! I would like to add more features
to it, but I'm a newbie in electronics and I don't know many
things about circuits.

In the WSG schematic "From second circuit if you need it" ? Whan other circuits can I conect to my WSG?

In the bottom corner of the schematic there are other CD40106
sugested conections. What can I do with them? What sounds will
it reproduce? Can you give some examples with schematics?

I would like to vary rhythmically the sounds. Do I need a
sequencer (a simple sequencer, remember I'm a newbie hehehe)?
How can I attach it to my new WSG?

I'll send you pics of my WSG soon.

Thank you.

hi lalito,

congrats on the wsg! I just finished mine too, they're lots of fun to play with Very Happy

The circuit on Ray's site uses 3 inverters (each uses 2 pins of the CD40106 chip) to make 1 oscillator with it's 2 modulators. The chip has 6 inverters total though, so you can include a second oscillator, effectively then you have 2 wsg's at once. More info (with diagram) on this post. On the schematic, "from second circuit if you need it" indicates where both oscillators meet to go to the output or filter.

Not sure if anyone's done a pcb for the double wsg, Unkle Krunkus's stripboard layout here certainly includes it.

As for controlling the wsg with a sequencer, I've not seen anything that suggests it's been done and am not really sure how it would be.....

hope that helps (a bit)

Joel

you may want to take a look at scott stites site for a voltage controlled filter mod:
