Hi,

I found out about Zero hertz FM from the Modular tutorials, and read
through the old post:
http://electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?highlight=zero+hertz&t=10742.

But I don't seem to get it. Sad

I made the attached patch and with some turntable scratching
it produces the enclosed sound.

But:

If the Oscillator has 0 Hertz, why is there a sound in the very
beginning? It can be clearly heard when the external modulation
signal comes in.

Shouldn't 0 hz be silence? Also the pitch is much higher
than I would expect it to be when I turn tha platter very slowly...

An idea anybody? Thanx!

Regards

Marc

Yes, if it is not modulated. You need to set zero hertz mode first though.

Change the Oscillator tuning mode to Part (partial) and turn the tune knob all the way left so the display shows 0 Hz.

Gee, thanks a lot guys Smile

the 0Hz osc setting didn't do too much in my patch, but it was the cause of it's beginning. The result patch is epic and fits the layout of the set it reaches in new directions, so maybe it is a sign of sorts ...

And it is only one hour of patching into it too ... Sometimes I feel like "Lt. Data" on Star Trek, The Next Generation". And sometimes as "Bubbles" from the award winning Canadian Comedy show called "Trailer Park Boys".

Thanks for the inspiration Wink
