OK I have taken chuck-1.3.5.0 and tried to compile ChucK for jack using make linux-jack

That built successfully though I did notice that whilst it was installing I got several warnings messages coming up. I can't seem to find a log file to go back through and see what the problem was

I start Jack and setup the VM using chuck --loop when I run anything for example larry.ck in basic examples I get the following message

[chuck]: cannot bind to tcp port 8888

I have checked and when I am running I can see a link to that port (netstat -an | grep 8888)
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:8888 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN

but when everything is off then there is nothing against this port number.

Any ideas. Thanks ??

Paul

I haven't really solved my problem ... more avoided it.

I have downloaded miniAudicle and compiled that for jack and I now have a working system. I have tried going back and rebuilding ChucK but I still run into the same problems. I might start looking through the warning messages I get when I compile to see if I can find anything

Thanks

Paul
