Sorry for the n00b question, but I guess I'm a n00b.

I'm used to having a single stereo jack and running a single cable from my instrument directly to an audio interface (for recording) or a direct box (for a live performance). On the NL2X I've found that this isn't an option, as rather than having a stereo output, there are two (er, make that four) mono jacks.

My question is, what's the simplest method of combining the two mono signals into one stereo signal without a headache (i.e. lots of cables, or having to run through a mixer)? I find that the more components I have rigged up at a show, the more terrifying it is when something doesn't work, because I have to find out which of those components is to blame. Thus, I'm looking for an elegant solution. And a cheap one, if possible.

I'm wondering, though, if I'm even asking the right question. Is combining the two mono signals in such a way even the best solution? By what method do you guys typically record the NL2X's fat unison sound? By what method do you typically get that fat sound and/or multiple sounds to a PA in stereo in a live setting?

I'm hoping there's some simple answer I'm overlooking, even if it's going to embarrass me that I overlooked it. ;]

I use a mixer, a small one: Behringer 502 http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/502.aspx not that expensive and it can rest on you rig or something. If needed, you can use some screws to attach it on the right side of the NordLead and leave the 4 cables inserted.

Using it mono you'll loose some of the effect. To emphase the shifting sound I also use the FineTuning, with a little LFO1 on the SemiTone and Mono mode, of course, which creates a Unison of 4 voices!

No, it isn't a strange question. I had troubles recording the Unison too, which appeared to be a matter of wrong inserted cables..

What I ended up doing for recording was purchasing a pair of 1/4 jack to phono adapters. I run RCA cables directly into my audio interface. It sounds nice. The next step is learning how to sync my arpeggiator to my DAW...

Just a Y split cable or insert cable? Well, I misunderstood you, because I thought you wanted to mix the A and B output Smile
