[Editor's note: I split this off from another topic]

I'm back. i would like to take a few moments of everyones time and introduce myself.

I use the name invisibl here and on almost every other BBS I frequent, I use that name as I have a small Mixing/composing/mastering facility under that name here in NZ.

I release music under the name 50Hz and have done so since 1994.

I have released 2 albums of my own material thus far

Cyclehum. In 1996. ( Voted one of the Best 100 albums NZ released ever and also recently included in the 50 Albums that passed people by by a National music mag alongside AR KAne, The Blue Nile and Public enemy)

Carbon. Last september.

I have had a 12 inch released on a local Label called Breakers Wax which was in a DnB style.

I am releasing the first single on vinyl from my new (ish) album in NZ UK & Europe in the next few weeks, The single is called SeekKnowMore.
An MP3 is available for a chuckle at

http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/441/50hz.html

I have remixed about 10 tracks for other artists this year, mastered about a dozen albums, mixed 2 albums for other artists( soon to be starting the third) and have a day job as well.

I have worked in the film & TV Post production environments for about 11 yrs and know enough to know I need to know more.

I will become a dad in about 5 weeks for the first time.

I make electronic based music using a MAC Based system.
I perform live using an MPC2k and a turntablist
I am always willing to answer any questions in relationship to the process of making music and in relationship to any trouble shooting or even in a How do I ? vein.

I just wish i had time to sleep.............

Absolutely true.

We are blessed by some amazing talent & it seems the emerging culture is less defined by genre and more so defined by "vibe"

Because we live so far from any sort of decent sized population we have much less intervention thru market forces and thus most artists develop in a more insular form.

Shame it is almost impossible to make a decent living thru music here
But we have an amazingly accepting attitude to most things.

I have to say again, This site is a breath of fresh air relative to the rest of the anonynet.

Hei Kone Ra
