Hi,
I own a Jomox xbase 09. This drummachine has 3 individual outputs and 1 Mono mix out.

I usually effect BD and SN individually, that force me to not use mono mix out and so I need to use 3 cannel line input of my mixer.

Now, I would like to save cannel of my mixer and so I thougt to mix the 3 outputs of the Jomox before they enter in the mixer.

I have to mix these 3 audio signals...
I tought to connect they with a savage "3jack in - 1jack out" connector
but maybe it is too much inhuman! Wink

Could I try buffering they with a simple voltage follower ...or what?
Any ideas?

thanks

If you don't need to adjust the individual levels you could build yoruself a very simple summing mixer by just attaching a 10k R to each individual output and then having the other terminal of each resistor connected to a common bus output.

Or for a more 'ring mod' kind of sound you could to the same as above but with diodes instead

hope this helps

thank you...

I don't need to adjust the individual levels, because individual ouput have level control already.

Thank you...

do you think it is better to add the resistor or the diode on tip or GDR?

On tip, you could also do a search for 'summing mixer' for a project a bit more refined and maybe with gain stage on the output...

they're all the rage these days in the audio pro world as they sound quite better compared to other solutions.

Ciao. I think that you are looking for something simple like just a summing amplifier?

And chapter 8 here:

It is better control the levels at the mixer itself or at its inputs.

It is important to send the most big signal possible in order to reduce the ratio noise/signal.
