If your interface is AC coupled, nothing will work, but you know that, right?

If you're going to spend money on another interface, maybe consider a Kenton, unless you think you'll use a lot of outputs (ie multi channel CVs)...

I haven't tried Silent Way (nor have I tried Volta), I have played a little with the Max/MSP program that does the same, but I have a Kenton so I don't have as much need for it. I do have DC coupled audio interfaces. No reason for it not to work with the right hardware.

That said, MW or kvraudio.com seems to have plenty of opinions, indeed.

Works great here, too. I usually use the MIDI-to-CV modules in my Synthesizers.com system or a Roland MPU-101 for this sort of thing, but Silent Way does things that those can't, like forcing my cantankerous old VCS3 to snap into tune. For me, this is the main value of Silent Way and things like it. Sure beats spending hours fine-tuning the input scaling on that old synth.
