Krautrock Phaser ... but maybe I make some mistakes... |
 |
|
Hi,
I "finished" my "Krautrock Phaser" ... but maybe I make some mistakes...
the PCB was already populated, so I think I connect the pots not correctly!!
my electronics knowledge are very basic... and I'm very slow to realize my plans
anyway I cant ear the effect ... !!
The effect seems to be in by-pass mode, even if the phaser is turned off, the sound pass through the effect...
by-pass switch seems to be ok.
If I make a bridge between the Rate Jack pins I can ear a filter effected the input sound, but I cannot modulate it...
Lamps blinks... but I think to fast, I mean they doesn't blink slowly
I follow the explications of ths site but probably I make some mistakes...
I will try again following the schematics... but, any suggestions??
P.S. My brother have to play two gigs supporting NEU! in late October... it would be nice if my "Krautrock Phaser" will work fine _________________ Yes!

WOW!! Then it MUST be fixed!!!
To support Neu! (minus Klaus of course ) Is a very cool thing to be able to do. And I mean cool as in really good, because the word "cool" has become a bit of a cliche in recent years- anything that is crap is now cool. But Neu! are not crap at all!! _________________ ACHTUNG!

to cover up the lamps = OK
but... so...
so... EDIT
I resolve some questions by miself
but:
I can't modulate dry/wet effect... so the ouput give me always 100% dry and the effect. ??
I have some problem with "Modulation" knob that seems do not affect the sound... I'm reading someone else have my same problem
but I don't understand how resolve it...
Thank you very much in advance for your kindly replies! _________________ Yes!

hmm...
I do not understand if i could adjust Modulation knob with R18... I mean I try to turn R18 (and/or R21) but seems to not affect the sound.
I prefer to use a potenciometer to control "DEPTH" instead of the pedal to ammount on pcb. Could you suggest me a value for this pot??

Hi Lorenzo,
I think I remember reading somewhere that mod only really makes a difference if you listen to both outputs - stereo. But I think JH sums it up well...
I think amount would be the same as phasing amplitude, I mean you could just get rid of amount and not have it at all, just connect the two switched contacts of the amount jack with a piece of wire - do you have a switched socket there at the moment? _________________ http://loudestwarning.tumblr.com/ |

ehm... I just use a 100k Pot...
I'm testing my Phaser with a keybord... it is working better than using my guitar.
I think Modulation knob effect the phase, now I'm using "R" ouput...
I have to built a Y cable so I will be abble to use L-R ouput
It is a very good Phaser! My brother likes it!
But i can't understand if it is possible to modulate WET/DRY.
I can't turn down the DRY volume !!! _________________ Yes!
