Have been experimenting a bit with the pt2399 delay chip but I find it gets a bit noisey with long delay times. Has anyone tried using a compander ( ne57x type chips ) to improve the performance of these chips and if so did it help?

Is good to know you can still get those compander chips from somewhere credible, rather than eBay sellers ( where you risk getting a fake )

Thanks g.gabba.
