Hmm... where to start?

Been playing synths for quite a while (bought ARPs when they were new) Smile
I was in a band for 6 yrs. and had put together a rig that worked pretty well. (controller and a couple racks of modules) When the band died, I took that rig apart, specifically, so I would not keep doing the same old stuff! For several years I had synths to play, but not a real RIG.

I've been wanting to get out and jam some so finally I started studying, thinking about it and building up a new rig... I'm feeling pretty good about it. So, I figured it was time to dive in, say Hi and be part of the community.

I basically wanted a mono synth, a poly synth and a beat box.

"mono" synth = my Evo Tweakstation - MEK + 2 desktop Evolvers
poly synth = my G2XX = G2 Engine expanded, Kurzweil PC88 and PC1600x
beat box = EMX-1
...
Mackie 1202, Digitech S100, Alesis Quadraverb 2

I was at City Skies in Atlanta and mosc and egw knocked me out with the sounds they were getting out of their G2s. I went home to NC and downloaded the G2 demo. Very cool. My G2 Engine was the last piece that I needed and is what brought the whole rig into focus. (Hi guys - thanks for the inspiration)

Robert

Big thanks, elektro80

Now I gotta learn to make it sing/groove/float/decimate. Yee ha!

Thanks for the nod, Jyoti -

Had a good session last night. Two slow cyclical non-synchronized drones on the Evos and banged on various G2 patches for accompaniment.

One step at a time...
