Subject description: stripboard in 3D, maybee

Hi Guys,

due to my forced non-access to any hardware and the desperate try to keep me sane, i try out some things i ever wished to have.
This case "3D stripboard design".
Since it does not exist, i had to invent something (luckily).

Well it is not really designing stripboard in 3D but to have show-of 3D rederings of the designs.

Nothing comes for free, of course.

workflow:
- design the stripboard (in my case in Lochmaster)
- recreate the design in DipTrace, using simple 3D models prepared in freecad
- export to a step file from DipTrace 3DView, open this in Freecad and export the different materials seperatly to a STL file
- import the STL files in Adobe Dimension and give them the coresponding atributes in terms of material and color
- render it and wank a bit Smile

Since iam a lazy writer, i will not write down all the things if no one is interested, but if you are interested - i will try my best to answer
OR if you know how to do it better/easyer - please let me know

I guess the CADRAYS renderer can do similar thing to Adobe Dimensions, and it seem it is kind of freeware, but i cant find a way to get it. Do you?

see u,
keep well

not what I had in mind when I read the title (I was thinking something with layers of traces to mount components between)
but that looks great! Razz
