Video Decay And Regeneration III with Soundtrack, my New Year 2024 video with music excerpted from a June 2015 em solstice webcast, piece called TARDIS.

I have been doing a lot more visual work than e-music the last few years, even less after COVID kept me out of the planetarium. Planning to retire in a year, may have the courage to host one more event in there this summer. We'll see.

My art video "Decay And Regeneration III with Soundtrack", January 2024, debuted at the AI Art Exhibition of the International Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition Conference today, on-site at Seattle and on-line. It grows out of my work with students in CPSC 220 Object-oriented Multimedia Programming, using a custom visual software instrument that supports improvisation and piano roll-like playback of custom-filtered photographs. Students and I have exhibited related projects in the Kutztown University's Rohrbach Library. Unlike many of the pieces in the exhibition, my work does not use AI transforms, preferring custom filters and improvised performance using my code written in the Processing multimedia language.
