Hey there,

Years ago I used to work with a windows pc and I had this function "record what you hear", using this I was able to record audio streaming from my computer to the harddrive. Useful if you have sounds online or on DVD or whatever.. this function was usable in a number of software applications.

...in my current setup, using OSX I am not able to do this. I can only record "what I hear" if I reroute the output of my soundcard back into it's inputs via my analogue desk. This is not only more work, but seriously degrades the quality of the sound and can cause some feedback.

How do you 'desktop record' in OSX???

Search for Audio Hijack

There are a lot of different "jack" style apps for mac that can do this. I reckon what you want is say record audio from a browser or whatever.
